Is there a glass ceiling for women in the workforce?

Women have made tremendous progress throughout the last few centuries. They are scientists, entrepreneurs, artists, etc. Some women even earn more than their male colleagues. Several top paid executives are women as well. For example Yahoo! hired Marissa Mayer, who happens to be pregnant, as their new CEO.

However, does this progress reflect the reality of women in the workforce? Can women achieve the same professional goals as their male colleagues? Or, is the dreaded glass ceiling still prevalent in the workforce ?

What do you think? If this is an issue, how can this be addressed?
